THE FOOD BUSINESS SCHOOL(FBS) the newly established division of executive and graduate education at The Culinary Institute of America—is partnering with food + tech entrepreneur Tim West to present The Food Hackathon + Forum; a series of three-day events that bring together leading food innovators, entrepreneurs, and scholars with top tech talent and emerging food leaders, to collaborate on innovative solutions to grand challenges in society and our food system.THE FOOD HACKATHON + FORUM Event Partners and Challenge Sponsors will identify core industry challenges central to and event theme. Working in interdisciplinary teams, the hackers will spend two days developing solutions to these challenges with the support of experienced food and tech mentors. Winning hacks will be selected by a panel of expert judges at a final presentation on Sunday.The first event—a collaboration with The Institute for the Future and Challenge Sponsors, Quaker Oats and UC Davis / Mars Innovation Institute for Food and Health—begins Friday evening, February 27th, with an educational forum on the weekend’s topic, “Nutrition for All.”
