On October 17th, 2014 The Mixing Bowl organized this event at the UC Berkeley Innovation Lab to discuss the topic of food waste with key solutionists in attendance. Here is the presentation that we used to “set the table” for the discussion.

This “toss-up” event allowed for focused discussions amongst entrepreneurs and innovators to explore the opportunities and challenges that come with creating a scalable and profitable food recovery sector and the role technology can play. The discussion included panelists from the Zapping Food Waste panel at the Zero Food Waste Forum on October 16th with the following questions guiding the discussion…

Who are the current players looking to create a scalable, for-profit food recovery sector? What are they doing and where are they doing it?
