STEAM SUMMER CAMP
July 17, 2017 - July 28, 2017

Apps for Ag is delighted to host the first California Open Data Science Technology Engineering Agriculture and Math (STEAM) Summer Camp in 2017. A partnership between University of California Agriculture and Natural Resources (UCANR), The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), and the Governance Lab (GovLabs), the camp is designed to deliver an immersive, two-week long, project-based and team-focused learning experience for high-school students in the Sacramento area.
The curriculum of the camp will include hands-on learning in many areas of STEAM, and will include field trips, activities, and demonstrations aimed to inspire and engage students and showcase STEAM-based futures.
The goal of the camp is to grow student interest in STEAM, and to help these students build familiarity and hands-on competence with the approaches, tools, and analytical techniques relevant to harnessing the power of open data on critical issues related to food and agriculture.
