We held a one-day “Idea Hack” to identify practical innovations to stimulate local food production and consumption on the San Francisco Peninsula. The event was attended by nearly 90 people! The Location of the event was TomKat Ranch in Pescadero, CA.

Caroline Fey, Owner & Head Chef of The City Kitchen, prepared a dinner at TomKat Ranch featuring locally sourced ingredients following the event’s reception.

The agenda included breakout challenges where teams collaborated in real-time to “hack” solutions. Read the

Participants included local players familiar with Peninsula food system issues as well as technology and business innovators.

The event’s objective was to encourage a new dialogue for the Peninsula’s local food production and develop a range of actionable solutions.  A byproduct of the Idea Hack was to connect individuals and organizations that could potentially collaborate to bring about desired changes.
