Allison is creating equitable food systems and supporting food entrepreneurs throughout the United States. Her work has included leading the PolicyLink food team where she advanced policies and programs promoting health, social, and economic equity. Allison helped create, advocate for, and implement the Healthy Food Financing Initiative, a national effort that has invested over $1 billion in food projects in underserved communities across the country. She led the creation of the nation’s first Healthy Food Access website to promote healthy food retail and is advising on healthy food procurement policies and strategies for California. A trained lawyer working with food businesses and academic nutritional researcher, Allison applies a diverse skill set to improve food and health. She holds an MPH from the University of California, Berkeley, and a JD from the University of Texas at Austin. You can find her biking, running, growing food, and chasing her children with vegetables on the weekend.
